FAQ’S
blowouts
-
You can arrive with your hair as-is. Your blowout includes a wash, so there is no need to wash your hair before your appointment.
-
A blowout includes a wash, expert round brush blow-dry, and customized styling. Depending on your desired look, we can create smooth volume, soft bends, beachy waves, bouncy curls, or a polished finish.
-
Most blowouts take about 45 minutes. If your hair is long, thick, or typically takes extra time to dry and style, we recommend booking the Long or Thick Hair Blowout for your first time. If we determine the Signature Blowout is a better fit, we’ll happily adjust the service and price at checkout.
-
The Signature Blowout is best for most hair types. The Long or Thick Hair Blowout is designed for longer or thicker hair that needs extra time and attention. If you are unsure for your first visit, we recommend choosing the Long or Thick Hair Blowout to make sure we have enough time. If we determine the Signature Blowout is a better fit, we’ll happily adjust the service and price at checkout.
-
Yes. Your stylist will customize your finish based on your hair type, plans, and preferences. Inspiration photos are always welcome.
-
Yes, hot tool styling may be used to refine your look depending on the finish you want, such as waves, curls, or extra polish.
-
Yes, but please book the Textured Hair Blowout that allows for additional time, detangling, or specific care so we can schedule the right service and timing for you.
-
Yes, but please book the Extensions Blowout so we can allow the right amount of time and care for your service.
-
Most blowouts can last several days with the right care. Longevity depends on your hair type, lifestyle, weather, workouts, and how you sleep.
-
Avoid getting your hair wet, use dry shampoo as needed, sleep with a silk pillowcase/ hair bonnet or in a loose ponytail, and avoid heavy oils or products at the roots.
-
We do not recommend booking a blowout immediately after a spray tan while your tan is still developing. Water, steam, heat, styling products, and contact from towels can affect the way your tan develops. For best results, we recommend scheduling your blowout before your spray tan, or waiting until after your first rinse/full development period before booking hair services.
-
Yes. We usually recommend doing hair before makeup, especially if your service includes a shampoo or heat styling.
-
Yes. You can add small beauty boosts like under-eye patches, a lip mask, head massage, or other treatments while you get ready.
-
You are welcome to bring inspiration photos or let your stylist guide the look. If you use a specific product for extensions, scalp sensitivity, or allergies, please bring it or let us know ahead of time.
-
If you are booking multiple services, we typically recommend scheduling your blowout first, makeup second, and your spray tan 1–2 days before your event. Alternatively, you can book a blowout and then a spray tan and start your week reset. A fresh spray tan should not be followed immediately by a blowout, shampoo, or makeup application while it is still developing. Please contact us if you are unsure, and we’ll help you plan the best timing for your services.
spray tans
-
For the most flawless, even result, we recommend exfoliating your skin 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid applying lotions, oils, deodorant, or perfumes the day of your tan, as these can create a barrier and affect absorption. Come with clean, dry skin and wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment.
-
Yes. Shaving or waxing should be done at least 24 hours before your appointment to allow your skin to settle and help avoid irritation.
-
Yes, but schedule it before your tan. Manicures, pedicures, waxing, shaving, facials, and exfoliating treatments should be done at least 24 hours prior when possible.
-
Loose-fitting, dark clothing is best. Tight clothing or fabrics like leggings, jeans, and bras can cause uneven development or transfer while your tan is processing.
-
You can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Many clients wear underwear, a swimsuit, or go without tan lines. Disposable options are available upon request.
-
No. Your spray tan is customized to your skin tone, desired depth, and event timeline so the result looks natural and flattering — not orange or overly dark.
-
We typically recommend booking your spray tan 1–2 days before your event. This gives the tan time to fully develop, settle, and look its best.
-
Your artist will guide you based on the solution used, but most tans require a rinse within 8–12 hours. For rapid tans, rinse times may be sooner depending on your desired depth.
-
After your initial rinse, which is just a quick water rinse, wait 24 hours before taking a full shower with soap.
-
We do not recommend booking a blowout immediately after a spray tan while your tan is still developing. Water, steam, heat, styling products, and contact from capes or towels can affect the way your tan develops. For best results, schedule your blowout before your spray tan or wait until after your first rinse/full development period before booking hair services.
-
Avoid sweating, workouts, saunas, swimming, or getting wet until after your first rinse. For best results, wait 24 hours before heavy sweating.
-
Please bring loose, protective clothing and an umbrella if needed. Avoid getting your skin wet while your tan is developing, as water can affect the final result.
-
Some cosmetic bronzer may transfer before your first rinse, which is why we recommend loose, dark clothing. After your first rinse and full shower, transfer is typically minimal.
-
Your tan will typically last 5–7 days with proper care. Keeping your skin hydrated is key to maintaining an even, long-lasting glow.
-
To protect your tan, avoid products that contain sulfates, alcohol, retinols, oils, heavy moisturizers, and strong fragrances. These ingredients can cause your tan to fade faster or become uneven.
Common products to avoid include heavily fragranced body washes, like those from Bath & Body Works, certain bar soaps like Dove or Dial, exfoliating scrubs, and acne washes.
-
Look for gentle, sulfate-free, and hydrating body washes and lotions. Products labeled “for sensitive skin” or “tan-safe” are ideal. Keeping your skin nourished will help your tan fade evenly and last longer.
-
Please consult your doctor before booking. Once you are cleared, we are happy to make the appointment as comfortable as possible.
-
If you are booking multiple services, we typically recommend scheduling your blowout first, makeup second, and your spray tan 1–2 days before your event. Alternatively, book a blowout followed by a spray tan and start your week reset. A fresh spray tan should not be followed immediately by a blowout, shampoo, or makeup application while it is still developing. Please
makeup
-
Please arrive with a clean, moisturized face and avoid heavy oils or SPF right before your appointment. Light skincare is great, but the cleaner the canvas, the better the makeup will apply and wear.
-
Yes, inspiration photos are always helpful. We recommend bringing photos that reflect your desired level of glam, eye look, skin finish, and overall vibe. Photos of yourself in makeup you have loved before are also great.
-
Yes, false lashes are included if desired. We will choose a style that complements your eye shape and the look you are going for.
-
Yes. Please let your artist know at the start of your appointment. We’ll avoid applying strip lashes over extensions and will take extra care around the eye area.
-
Yes, airbrush complexion is available as an upgrade. It is a lightweight, long-wear foundation application that is custom-matched to your skin tone and designed to be sweat-proof, water-resistant, and camera-ready.
-
Most makeup appointments take about 60 minutes. Bridal makeup may take 75–90 minutes, and bridal trials are typically around 75 minutes.
-
We recommend scheduling your spray tan before your makeup appointment, ideally at least 1–2 days before your event. Makeup should be done after your tan has developed and you have completed your first rinse.
-
Yes, but we usually recommend doing hair first and makeup second when possible, especially if you are receiving a shampoo or a lot of heat styling.
-
We use long-wearing products and techniques designed to help your makeup last through your event. For best results, avoid touching your face, excessive rubbing, and heavy moisture after your appointment.
-
Bring your inspiration photos, any must-use lip color if you have one, and anything you know your skin loves or reacts to. We also recommend bringing your event outfit color or a photo so we can complement the overall look.
-
If you're getting ready for a special event or wedding, consider wearing a button-down or zip-up shirt so you can easily change without disturbing your makeup. Even better, bring your outfit and leave event ready.
-
Yes, bridal trials are highly recommended. They give us time to design and perfect your wedding day look so you feel confident and prepared before the big day.
-
Many brides schedule their trial 4–8 weeks before the wedding. Trials can also be scheduled around engagement photos, showers, or other special events. We would recommend getting your bridal spray tan 1-2 days before your bridal trial to ensure a flawless color match.
-
Please let us know about any allergies, sensitivities, or skin concerns before your appointment. We will do our best to choose products and techniques that support your skin and comfort.
-
You do not need to fill them in before your appointment. If you wax, tint, or shape your brows, we recommend doing that a few days before your makeup service rather than the day of.
-
Your makeup is designed to last, but we recommend keeping your lip color or gloss with you for touch-ups throughout your event. Blotting sheets or powder can also be helpful for longer days.
-
If you are booking multiple services, we typically recommend scheduling your blowout first, makeup second, and your spray tan 1–2 days before your event. Alternatively, book your blowout followed by a spray tan and start your week reset. A fresh spray tan should not be followed immediately by a blowout, shampoo, or makeup application while it is still developing. Please contact us if you are unsure, and we’ll help you plan the best timing for your services.
