spray tan prep and aftercare:

For the most flawless, even result, we recommend exfoliating your skin 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid applying lotions, oils, deodorant, or perfumes the day of your tan, as these can create a barrier and affect absorption. Come with clean, dry skin and wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment.

Yes - shaving or waxing should be done at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to allow your skin to fully settle and avoid irritation.

Loose-fitting, dark clothing is best. Tight clothing or fabrics like leggings, bras and socks can cause uneven development or transfer.

Your artist will guide you based on the solution used, but most tans require a rinse within 8–12 hours. For rapid tans, rinse times may be sooner depending on your desired depth.

After your initial rinse (which is just a quick water rinse), wait 24 hours before taking a full shower with soap.

Your tan will typically last 5–7 days with proper care. Keeping your skin hydrated is key to maintaining an even, long-lasting glow.

To protect your tan, avoid products that contain sulfates, alcohol, retinols, moisturizing/oil-based and heavy fragrances. These ingredients can cause your tan to fade faster or become uneven.
Common products to avoid include heavily fragranced body washes (like those from Bath & Body Works), certain bar soaps like Dove, Dial, and exfoliating scrubs or acne washes.

Look for gentle, sulfate-free, and hydrating body washes and lotions. Products labeled “for sensitive skin” or “tan-safe” are ideal. Keeping your skin nourished will help your tan fade evenly and last longer.
